Merzouga, Ait Benhaddou, Dades & Todra gorges and Mountain Bike in The High Atlas Mountains & MT Toubkal:
- Sahara Desert:
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate Dades Gorge.
After breakfast, pick up by our English speaking guide / driver, drive through Tizi n’Tichka pass (the limit between Western & Central High Atlas Mountains, stunning view over the Imouzzar & Taddart Berber villages as well as the zigzagging road of Tichka, continue via Telouet valley with a short visit of the Pach Glaoui’s Abandoned Kasbah, continue along Ounila valley to arrive to ait Benhadou, lunch and then visit the magical Ksars of this place, a real Moroccan & UNESCO world heritage, the place is known as a picture & movies spot, several international films have been shot in this place including the Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabie, the Mummy, Kundun & Alexander…(there are about 43 films in total which has used the place), enjoy the architecture of the building aged about 4 centuries, the place has been used as a trade center for the caravans coming from Toubouktou & heading to Marrakech the whole north of Morocco.
After the visit continues via Ouarzazate, optional visit to the movie studio (Moroccan Hollywood), drive along the way of 1000 Kasbah & pass through, Skoura & Kelaa Mgoun & Boumalen Dades, arrival to Dades Gorges.
Overnight at the guest house.
Day 2: Dades Gorge – Todra Gorge – Merzouga. 270km
After breakfast and a short drive to Todra Gorge, hug rocks for climbers, passing via the magnicent palm oasis and visit inside of the gores, way back to the main road and drive through Tinghir, Tinjdade & Erfoud, optiona visit of the Marble factory, continue to Merzouga via Rissani the ancient capital of Tafilalte region, it was a former major caravan center, visit of the mausoleum of Moulay Ali Cherif the founder of Alaouite Dynasty of Morocco in 1631, continue to the town of Merzouga, welcome mint tea and then meet the camel leader to start 1.30hr camel ride to Erg chebbi dunes, enjoy the sunset on the way, overnight at the nomadic camp.
Day 3: Erg Chebbi – Merzouga – Alnif – Tazzarine – Agdez – Ouarzazate – Marrakech. 570km
Wake up early to enjoy the views of sunrise in the desert, after breakfast, join the Camels again to ride back by a different way over the dunes to return to our waiting vehicle at Merzouga, way through Alnif, Tazzarine & a part of the long Draa valley before arriving to Agdez and then continue to Marrakech via Ouarzazate & Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m). arrival to Marrakech around 8 pm.

Day 4: Marrakech – Imlil valley (1775m) – Toubkal Hut(3207m):
You can climb Toubkal summit in 2days, only 1.30hr drive from Marrakech to Imlil valley the starting point of the trek where you will meet your local English speaking guide & cook, start a trek along the mule path & streams crossing the shrine Sidi Chamharouch, continue the walk up to the base camp. Overnight at the Hut. 67km /1.30hr drive from Marrakech. 5hrswalk. *
Day 5: Toubkal Hut (3207m) – Toubkal summit (4167m):
After an early breakfast which will be served around 4pm, start a non-technical trek up to the summit following a zigzagging path on a vertical Mountains hill, get to the peak after 3hrs walk, enjoy the views over the surrounding, have some snack and then trek back down to the base camp for lunch which may take another 2hrs walk. After lunch walks down all the way back to Imlil valley and the transfer to Marrakech. Option overnight if you are too exhausted at Riad.

*Day 5: Imi Oughlad-Azzaden valley:
in the early Morning you will start for two hours of biking to reach the Top, there are two options:
Option one: keep biking to the Id Issa Village have a lunch there, after the lunch biking up to Tizi Aussime village when you reach to the villages you will push your bike toward Ighoulidin Waterfall, take a rest and biking down with the same road.
Option two: Biking down from the top via singletrack to the Berber villages, carry the bike in the van and drive toward to the top for taking the lunch there, after the lunch biking toward the Id Issa village.
(Note: there is a possibility to add some biking for the people want it.)
Overnight in Id Issa villages.
*Day 6: Azzaden valley-Ouirgan-Ait zitton
after the breakfast, you’ll bike down nearby river, across the villages, enjoying a wonderful landscape toward Tassa Ouirgan where you can biking in between fields in amazing nature, subsequently you’ll have the lunch somewhere in Ouirgan, after lunch, you’ll keep biking close to Ouirgan dam toward Ait Zitton in a lovely single track amidst superb flora, Transfer back to Marrakech.
