Overview
This 2-day gravel cycling journey is a true Atlas Mountains point-to-point crossing, built for riders who want big elevation, low-traffic routes, and constantly changing terrain. The tour links two major mountain valleys and one high pass corridor, delivering a compact but demanding adventure through Morocco’s most rewarding gravel landscapes.
Starting in the fertile foothills of Ourika Valley, the route climbs steadily into the high mountain hub of Imlil, using a network of secondary roads and gravel connectors through traditional villages and agricultural terraces. Day two pushes deeper into the range, traversing the dramatic slopes of Azzaden Valley before finishing in the green basin of Ouirgane.
Riders can expect long, steady climbs, technical gravel descents, and wide panoramic sections across the Atlas Mountains. Surfaces vary from smooth hardpack to rough mountain tracks, making this tour ideal for experienced gravel cyclists with endurance fitness and confident bike handling.
